October 4th-10th is fire prevention week, so all week we will be discussing fire safety. We also introduced the letter “D”. During circle time we discussed what a fire is, and also spoke about some fire safety tips. We read “Curious George At The Fire Station” and said “The Fire Fighter” finger-play and rhyme. We also reviewed the proper way to form the letter D. With Ms. Asim we practiced tracing our names and did a letter D tracing worksheet. With Ms. Cara we made firemen hats, using plates and red paint. For lunch we had macaroni and cheese, salad, cucumbers, carrots and pears.
