Today we discussed the Star of David. We learned that it is a symbol of the Jewish holiday Hanukkah and that it is made up of two triangles with a total of six points. We read a book called “Happy Hanukkah” and learned a song called “The Latkes are frying in the pan”. We reviewed the proper way to write the letter L then practiced tracing it. For our project we made stars of David with Popsicle sticks and painted them blue, we then added blue glitter to make them shine. We also enjoyed working in groups to put together puzzles. For lunch we had sandwiches, veggie sticks, carrots, cucumbers, pineapple and yogurt. Have a great night!
