Happy Monday! This morning we discussed the leap year and how it only happens every four years. During circle time we introduced our theme for the week, Dr. Seuss and the letter Ss. We started making a list of words that begin with Ss. We read “The Cat In The Hat” and “Dr. Seuss’s Sleep Book”. We discussed how many of the words in Dr. Seuss’s books are rhyming words. With Miss Cara we made hats for the Cat In The Hat. The children were asked to make stripes using red strips of paper. The children also worked with the dry erase books and boards to practice writing their letters and numbers. With Mrs. Asim the children completed a letter Ss tracing worksheet and also practiced writing and/or tracing their names. With Miss Casiey the children had snack and enjoyed free play. For lunch we had hotdogs, celery, cucumbers, carrots, strawberry or vanilla yogurt and bananas.
