Happy Friday! This morning with Miss Cara we reviewed our chart of words that begin with the letter Dd. We learned a finger-play called “10 Little Fire fighters” and also learned a poem called “Firemen”. We did our morning stretches which involved getting our arms and legs moving, touching our toes and counting to 10, and hopping on one foot. For our project we made firemen and firewomen”. The children were given a head, jacket, legs and hat; they were asked to color each piece then assemble the body on a piece of paper. With Miss Nicole the children had snack and completed a firemen tracing worksheet. They also enjoyed doing spin art! With Mrs Denise the children read “Going to the Fire Station”. They looked at the differences of a firemen and a regular dressed adult. They were then directed to cut the firemen along the lines into 4 pieces and then put it back together. Don’t forget, permission slips for our file trip are due Friday October 14th! Have a great weekend!
