This morning with Miss Cara we introduced letter Qq and used q-tips to outline the letter Q with. We will also be talking about construction this week so today we discussed different things contractors build. We looked at pictures of blueprints, one of Camelot and one of a house. We learned that a blueprint is a drawing of what is being built. We used rulers to measure various objects around the room. We also enjoyed using Lincoln logs to build houses with. During circle time we reviewed the calendar, read “Danny and the Dinosaur” and “Peters Chair”. We also learned a fingerplay called “5 Little Nails”. With Miss Nicole the children ate snack and completed a tool worksheet where they had to circle the tool that was different. With Miss Abbie the children practiced tracing the letter Qq and enjoyed playing in groups. Have a great evening!
