Mrs. Denise’s Group – Today we read “A Loud Winter’s Nap”.  Children were then invited to draw a picture about something they did this weekend and then write about it.  I am not looking for them to spell words correctly, but rather get used to the idea of letters and words representing their thoughts.  Some students were able to identify some letter sounds in what they wanted to say.  It was fantastic!  The children were very excited about doing this “big kid work!”  I also started with mid-year assessments today.  They will take quite a while to complete and I will send them home for you when the whole class is complete.

Miss Abbie’s Group – The children began their math assessments with Miss Abbie and played with tabletop toys.

Miss Erin’s Group – The students celebrated Evan’s birthday and played board games in stations.

Before lunch, Miss Erin read a story and the children had both indoor and outdoor play time.
