September 10th in Pre-K

Today is part of the Rosh Hashanah holiday. The students tried traditional Rosh Hashanah foods for snack, such as challah bread, pomegranate seeds and pomegranate juice. For lunch, we served fish sticks to keep true to the special Jewish holiday.

Mrs. Susan read Flight School by Lita Judge. The book was about a penguin who desperately wanted to learn how to fly. They also looked through the library books, and let Mrs. Susan know what other books they might want on the self for next week.

Miss Lauren had the students make a finger painting based on the rainy day. Each student drew a picture of themselves under a cupcake-holder umbrella to shield themselves from the rain and clouds. They also learned how to mix different colors to make a different color, such as black and white make gray.

Mrs. Lanigan helped the students review their shapes.
