What an exciting morning we had! With Ms. Cara we started our morning by reviewing the beginning letter of fire/fire fighter. We practiced the 9-1-1 song and read “Fire House Dog” to get ready for our visit from the firemen! We also practiced spelling our names and tracing them; the children were then encouraged to try to write their name or some of their letters on their own. With Miss Jenna the children ate snack and talked about the types of things we need to make a salad. For their project they made a salad bowl. We were all so excited for our visit from the Hopewell Fire Department and Firemen! We got to look and learn about they different parts of the fire truck and equipment they use. One of the firemen then read us a story about fire safety and prevention called “Fire Boy To The Rescue”. Afterwards we got to see one of the firemen put on his full uniform!
Have a great evening!
