This morning with Ms Cara we discussed the sound of letter W and began making a list of words beginning with the letter. The children completed a letter Ww trace and color worksheet, they colored a picture of a watermelon and were encouraged to take their time. On the back of their worksheet the children wrote their names and we also began reviewing our last name. We worked on identifying the letters in our last name, traced them and some of us even wrote them. During circle time we read “Ladybug Girl and Bumblebee Boy”. With Miss Jenna the children made butterflies for their project, they used scissors to cut out a butterfly shape and paint to decorate it. Mrs Asim’s group practiced tracing letter Ww and colored a watermelon and read “When A Dragon Moves In”. Scholastic book orders are due Friday. Tomorrow we have a special visit from a superhero! Your child may come to school in their favorite superhero gear!
