Today we focused on germs and hand washing to go along with our potty training. We sat in a group and practiced washing our hands while singing the ABC’s. We also did an experiment to demonstrate the importance of using soap when hand washing. We added water into a bowl, used black pepper to represent the germs and sprinkled the pepper into the water. When we added the soap to the water/ pepper mixture they were amazed as the pepper all ran off to the side of the bowl. For our project we used mini marshmallows to make ghosts- While we made them we were making ghost noises. For lunch we had peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, fruit snacks and raisins.
