Today, Pre-K worked on their number formations and their “-and” word family. The class really focused on the difference between writing the number 2 and the number 5. Over the weekend, each student should take time to practice writing their numbers.
In art class, the Pre-K did two projects. The first project was in conjunction with number formation. Each number was a different color; the students used cotton swabs to trace their numbers. The key was to focus on their own paper because every paper was different. The second project worked on the class’ fine motor skills; each student wrapped five small rubber bands around a popsicle stick to make a colorful caterpillar. It was a difficult task at first, but once they figured it out, the rest was simple. Some students even made more than one!
Flyers will be handed out next week to formally invite you all to the Pre-K Art Show! The “MOCA Art Show” will be held Friday, June 7th at 7pm. There will be food, beverages, and craft activities for all to enjoy while surrounded by art from our Pre-K and other Camelot Alumni! You won’t want to miss it!
